The day to honor our teachers

 

Teacher’s day is considered to be a special day and is celebrated every year on October 5 across the world as World Teachers day which is organized by UNESCO, by adopting the “Recommendation concerning the status of teachers”. Teacher’s day is celebrated to honour teachers for their contribution in particular area.

 The celebration of Teacher’s day started in many countries during 20th century. In Argentina peoples commemorates  Domingo Faustino Sarmiento’s death on September 11 since 1915. While in India peoples celebrates the birth Date of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as techers day

Oct 5 Afghanistan Though school have holiday but student and teacher assemble at school on this day to celebrate with special traditional food, cookies, music and presents for the teachers.
March 7 Albania In 1887, the first secular school started on this day in the small city of Korce the lesson only taught in Albanian language in this school. All schools had previously functioned under the supervision of the Catholic Church in northern and middle Albania; the Orthodox Church in the south did not allow any Albanian schools.
September 11 Argentina Peoples commemorates Domingo Faustino Sarmiento’s death on September 11 and give honour to his works.

April 13 Ecuador Celebrate to honour Juan Montalvo, a teacher who planted the seeds of development in young minds.
September 10 Hong Kong Before 1997, Teachers day was celebrated on September 28, but after came under the rule of China the date turned into September 10.
September 5 India This day people celebrate to honour Dr S Radhakrishnan, second President of India, academic philosopher.
October 5 Pakistan Focus the importance and attributes progress to the quality of teachers in Pakistan’s Educational System.
October 5 Russia The Teachers day was celebrated on the first Sunday of October between 1965 and 1994. Later coincide with the UNESCO.
January 15 Venezuela This day there are no classes happens all teacher are honoured in building the country
